Malwina NaghibiHost: Dr Malwina Naghibi is a nutritional scientist with a Ph.D. in Nutrition and Respiratory Medicine and a B.Sc. degree in Human Nutrition, who now works in food Industry. For over 10 years she has been actively involved in medical research, first in academia, then as a researcher in the National Institute for Health Research Biomedical Research Centre (NIHR BRC) and then joined the team at ADM Protexin in 2017, where she is leading the digestive health research portfolio. As a Senior Medical Scientific Liaison, Malwina has been working with academic and commercial research centres growing the body of evidence around the role of microbiome and microbiome solutions in health and disease.

In this short video, the various career options in the field of nutritional science within the industry setting will be discussed and a brief story of how a committed academic nutritional scientist ended up in food industry. Malwina will also discuss the skills that are utilised every day and how to develop some of them early in life.
