Religion in England went from Catholic and Protestant with Henry VIII to strict Protestant with Edward VI to strict Catholic with Mary I. When Elizabeth I took the throne, she had to make a decision of which religion she would choose. In this class, students will gain a better understanding of the religious state of England before Elizabeth as well as religion during Elizabeth's reign. Students will also learn about the religious settlement. This class is aimed at students in Year 7 but is great for anyone interested in history!
