Host: Shahriyar is a Maths Teacher at a School in Northwest London, teaching years 7 to 11. Arithmetic confidence with positive and negative numbers is essential at GCSE level and students are required to complete a number of different calculations with positive and negative numbers.
In this lesson, students will use a variety of methods, including pictorial, patterns and number lines to show why the ‘rules’ of negative numbers hold true.
