A tangent to a circle at point P with coordinates (x, y) is a straight line that touches the circle at one point.

In this class, students will consider the equation of a tangent - in the form of y = mx + c as a tangent to a circle is a straight line. And since a tangent meets a radius at 90 degrees, students will also review how to find the gradient of perpendicular lines and in turn find the equation of a tangent.

This is a great class for students who find this area of Maths tricky: to cement existing knowledge and understand the topics explained in a different way.
