Host: Kat has worked as a professional fundraiser at large and small charities in the UK. She studied English Language and Literature at University as well as volunteering with charities during this time.Careers in Fundraising are a vital part of ensuring large charities can carry out all the work they do. In this class, Kat will talk through a day in the life of a professional fundraiser. Students will hear about the journey she took in her career to get there and some of the alternative routes into the industry. Kat will also discuss some of the skills they utilise every day in the job covering some of the highs and lows.
This is a great opportunity to get an insight into this career and some guidance if it is a career you are keen to pursue but also a great class for students who don't know what career path they'd like to follow and are looking for some inspiration!

This class is suitable for all students, especially those in Years 10-11 or S4-S5.
Class requirements:
Students will require a laptop with internet connection to view the class. A pen and notepad will also be required during the lesson.
What to expect:
- This class will take place online via a Zoom webinar.
- For live classes, please arrive promptly. Students' cameras and microphones are disabled by default.
- For on demand classes, students will be watching a recording of a previous live class.
- Once you have signed up, you will be taken to your dashboard where you can view details of the class, and re-watch it in the future.
- Students will be sent confirmation of the class to their email address if provided.
