The area of a circle is calculated using the formula: A = π r² or put into words, pi times the radius squared. In this class, students will learn about the derivation of the area of a circle and will learn how to use the formula to calculate the area of a circle and sector. This class is aimed at students in Years 8 - 11 and can be used as revision of the topic or in place of a missed class.
