Shonagh McLennanHost: Shonagh lives and teaches in Inverness but comes from Caithness originally. Gaelic isn’t spoken commonly there and as such, Shonagh learnt Gaelic as an older teenager and later at university in Glasgow and Aberdeen. This helps her to understand just how tricky language learning can be!

An important lesson in any language - introducing yourself! In this class, students will learn how to ask someone their name as well as how to respond to to the question and give their own name. Students will also be guided through some common Gaelic names. This class is for any student who is curious to learn Scottish Gaelic and is great opportunity to hear the correct pronunciation of different words and names to improve speaking accuracy!
