Have you heard of root words? In this class students will be given an overview of how to understand words in context by gaining an understanding of why Greek and Latin root words can help you understand long, complex words in the context of which they are written. This class focuses on 'etymology' which is the study of the origin of words. This class is aimed at students in Years 7 - 9 to so that they excel and advance their contextual understanding of known and unknown texts.
