Host: As an experienced secondary English teacher, I have taught GCSE and A-Level English (Language and Literature), Media Studies, Extended Project Qualification, Critical Thinking and Drama in a wide range of educational settings in London and Surrey (outstanding secondary schools, academies and a further education college). This short and snappy lesson will have you understanding apostrophes in no time! In this class, students will gain a better understanding of the difference between apostrophes for possession and for omission as well as how to use apostrophes with names ending in 's'. Students will also learn how to avoid 'apostrophe-itis'. An understanding of these will help students identify and build great sentences which is an important skill! This class is great for students in Years 7 - 11 who want to work on their grammar!
