Shonagh McLennanHost: Shonagh lives and teaches in Inverness but comes from Caithness originally. Gaelic isn’t spoken commonly there and as such, Shonagh learnt Gaelic as an older teenager and later at university in Glasgow and Aberdeen. This helps her to understand just how tricky language learning can be!

A key lesson in early language learning is the ability to talk about where you live to really build those early conversations. In this lesson, students will be guided through how to ask someone where they live and to answer the same question as well as start to learn Gaelic place names. This class also hopes to build students' confidence with using formal and informal constructions. This class is aimed at beginner Scottish Gaelic students or students who are curious about the language.
