Host: Jamie (BSc (Hons), MSc, PGCE) is a Science teacher who is passionate about breaking down complex topics into digestible bites for students.Why is it that there is not enough drinking water in the world, when there are so many oceans? In this class, students will discuss how to answer this difficult question, by discussing different types of substances, classifying them as pure or not, and then describing the steps that are taken in separating chemicals and why they work. The class also introduces concepts of filtration, distillation, and chromatography and how they work. This class is aimed at students in Years 7 - 9 who want to build a foundation in chemistry!

This class is suitable for all ages, especially for students in Years 7, 8 and 9, or S1, S2 and S3.
Class requirements:
Students will require a laptop with internet connection to view the class. A pen and notepad will also be required during the lesson.
