Poetry can convey all types of emotions and circumstances as well as give you an insight on the poets identity. In this class students will be given an overview of how to compare poems. Students will be shown how to analyse the poems ‘Half-Caste’ and ‘Search for My Tongue’ for a specific assignment: ‘Compare how the two poets present ideas about identity.’ This class is essential for English Literature students in Years 7 - 9 who want the opportunity to learn how to understand and compare two poems.
