Gillian HendryHost: Dr Gillian Hendry is a Psychology Lecturer at the University of the West of Scotland, specialising in Qualitative Methods and Social Psychology. She chose to study Psychology at university on a whim, but hasn’t looked back. It took roughly 9 years to obtain her Honours degree, then Masters, then PhD, but this has led her to the position she is now; teaching a subject she has a real passion for.

A career in psychology can take many forms. In this session Gillian will talk students through her career starting from her days as an undergraduate student, to where she is now as a Psychology Lecturer. She will highlight the experiences she gained along the way, and detail alternative careers that can be pursued. She will also discuss some of the skills she utilises every day in the job covering some of the highs and lows. This class is great for students interested in a career in psychology!
