Joe Bostock-JonesHost: Joe is a newly qualified keeper at ZSL London zoo having just passed my ZSL’s (Zoological Society of London) keeper apprenticeship on the zoo’s hoofstock section. Joe’s day to day job includes working with some of London zoo’s tallest residents, a pair of reticulated giraffes as well as a herd of African pygmy goats.

The ZSL London Zoo opened in April 1828! In this class, Joe talks about his journey to becoming a zookeeper at the UK’s oldest scientific zoo. Joe will talk about the type of tasks he completes on a daily basis, his highlights and low lights of being a zookeeper as well as his top tips for getting into the industry. This class is aimed at all students but especially those interested in animals or becoming a zookeeper!
