Host: Together with a background in software development and his teaching experience, Jez is able to create innovative and exciting approaches to deliver fun and creative lessons for all ages and abilities. He is Head of Computer Science at a special needs school and is the founder of First Coding which offers creative coding courses in and around the Salisbury area. Do you have an interest in coding but don't know how you can turn coding into a career? In this class, Jez gives an honest talk about how he started his own business in coding. Students will learn how he took the leap and many lessons he learnt along the way. He’ll go into more detail about the preparations he made before launching the business, the importance of marketing and publicity and how, even in a digital age, making connections can be the difference between success and failure.

Class requirements:
You will need a laptop or device with internet connection to watch the class, as well as a pen and notepad for taking notes.
What to expect:
- This class will take place online via a Zoom webinar.
- For live classes, please arrive promptly. Students' cameras and microphones are disabled by default.
- For on demand classes, students will be watching a recording of a previous live class.
- Once you have signed up, you will be taken to your dashboard where you can view details of the class, and re-watch it in the future.
- Students will be sent confirmation of the class to their email address if provided.
